Notified Body

We are authorised by the European Commission (as a Notified Body under the Low Voltage Directive) to: make judgements concerning product safety; determine the safety standards applicable to specific products; and to apply and interpret those standards. If you choose to have products tested by us you will be able to demonstrate legal due diligence concerning the conformance of those products with safety standards. In other words, in the event that there were any legal issues concerning the safety of the products, you would be able to show that, by using us, you had done everything reasonably possible to ensure that the safety testing was undertaken correctly.
