In December 2009, Nemko obtained NRTL status through the acquisition of CCL (Communication Certification Laboratory).

Together with our existing 'cNemko' certification, we can now offer the following product certification marks for North American market access:

Nemko Canada has been accredited by:
The Standards Council of Canada (SCC)

Nemko-CCL has been accredited by:
The Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) as a Nationally Recognized Test Laboratory (NRTL)

Legal status:
Due to the above accreditations, the 'cNemkoCCLus' marks have the same legal status as any other NRTL/SCC accredited marks, including (for example) the UL mark and the CSA mark.

Retail Acceptance:
The 'cNemkoCCLus' marks are accepted by all major North American retail chains, including Wal-Mart, Costco, RadioShack, Best Buy & Staples, to name a few.

Competitive Edge:
Since Nemko is able to offer both testing & certification 'under one roof', we believe that the 'cNemkoCCLus' marks will prove to be extremely competitive against other existing product certification marks, including (for example) the UL mark, both in terms of turnaround time and price.
