Korean KC Mark Mandatory for Electrical Safety

KC mark

The KCC mark for certification of electronic products by the Korean Communications Commission was, from 24 January 2011, changed to the common (unified) Korea Certification (KC) mark. Now, the eK mark for electrical safety, under the authority of KATS, has also been changed into the new KC mark. The transitional period ended 30 June 2011 and now only the KC mark can be used. Consequently, products without the KC mark are no longer allowed into Korea and will be stopped at the border by customs.
