LIGHTING PRODUCT TESTING

PRE-COMPLIANCE:
Our pre-compliance service will assist you in getting your product to market in the shortest possible time and at the lowest possible cost. By providing advice on the relevant compliance issues early in your new product development cycle we will help you to avoid costly and time consuming redesigns at the later stages of product development. Our wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge of the safety standards make our pre-compliance service especially effective.

CE MARKING:
For most suppliers of lighting and related products the CE marking regime is well known. Nemko Ltd’s regular customers know that one of the best ways of showing due diligence is to have Nemko’s test certificates and reports as part of each product’s technical documentation file. Nemko Type Test certificates and Test Reports to the British and/or European harmonised standards are ideal documents for demonstrating compliance with both the Principal Elements of the Safety Objectives of the UK's Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations SI 3260 1994, and the Low Voltage Directive (LVD): 2006/95/EC. For compliance with the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC): 2004/108/EC, testing can be done in conjunction with our Nemko approved Notified Bodies here in the UK.

CB SCHEME:
For international market access CB certificates and reports are recognised by more countries outside Europe than any other form of safety approval documentation.

FULL PRODUCT CERTIFICATION SCHEMES:

N Mark:
Nemko's own internationally recognised product certification mark, which is available to manufacturers worldwide.

GS Mark:
Product certification for the German ‘tested for safety’ approval mark. Since Nemko does not charge any annual licence fees, our prices for GS certification are often the most competitive in the market.

ENEC Mark:
A European product certification mark based on testing to harmonised European Standards. Applicants and manufaturers do not have to be located in Europe. However, for luminaire products and accessories, the testing must be carried out in Europe. This scheme is well suited to companies where factories are already accredited to ISO 9001.
