External Power Supplies (EPS)

European Commission Regulation (EC) No 278/2009, relating to no-load condition electric power consumption and average active efficiency of external power supplies, had staged implementation dates and, from 27 April 2011, the requirements detailed in Point 1(b) of Annex I of the regulation came into force throughout Europe.

These new requirements are equivalent to Level V requirements of the International Efficiency Marking Protocol for External Power Supplies.

Nemko Ltd is UKAS accredited to test External Power Supplies to the Level V Energy Efficiency Protocol and, if required, can provide full product certification via Nemko Canada.
