N MARK CERTIFICATION FOR 13A UK PLUGS

Under the UK’s ‘Plugs & Sockets etc (Safety) Regulations 1994’, it is a mandatory legal requirement for all 13A UK plugs to be certified by a body notified under the Low Voltage Directive (2006/95/EC). Since Nemko is such a body, the N mark has the same legal status as any other approval mark for 13A UK plugs, including BSI’s ‘Kitemark’ and ASTA/BEAB’s ‘Diamond’ mark.
